The official site for Doom 3 has been updated with the official release date for Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (Xbox), and that date is Thurs. Oct. 6th. Very much looking forward to this one. At only $29.99 US, it'll be inexpensive entertainment to boot.
It should also be noted that id Software's web site has been updated with a slightly different release date, that of Wed. Oct. 15th. Seeing as how Oct. 15th is a Sat., I'm assuming they mean Wed. Oct. 5th. Regardless, Resurrection of Evil should be on store shelves by the end of next week.
