Multiple sites are reporting a rumour that Guillermo Del Toro is in negotiations to direct the upcoming Halo movie. Best known for Blade II and Hellboy, he wouldn't be a bad choice I think, though I'd still prefer someone like Ridley Scott.
However with Peter Jackson at the helm, I have faith.
