
I found this very amusing. A group of University of Ottawa mathematics students did an exercise to track the spread of a fictional pandemic and in this case, they used a zombie outbreak as the disease. Their results: that unless the infection is eliminated with ruthless efficiency early on, we would not survive an outbreak.
You can find their official report here, though I couldn't get through it myself. Too many numbers. Head hurt from think. The concept is entertaining though non-the-less.
