For those of you in the current Xbox LIVE Update Preview who are in a qualifying region, you already have access to Halo Waypoint and the Avatar Awards relating to Halo 3: ODST. For those of you that are not, Bungie has given us the full official details in this week's Weekly Update.
Once the next Xbox 360 System Update goes live, you'll be able to download Halo Waypoint, a Channel on your Dashboard for all things Halo, and also have access to various items for your Avatar relating to Halo 3: ODST, depending on what Achievements you've unlocked. Taken straight from Bungie:
- Tourist – Black ODST T-shirt
- Dark Times – ODST Hoodie
- Campaign Complete (Normal) – Rookie’s Helmet
- Good Samaritan – ODST Body Armor
- Vidmaster Challenge: Endure – Dare Recon Helmet (Female), Recon Helmet (Male)
This means that I'll be sporting everything save for the Recon Helmet, since I have yet to attempt that Achievement. And honestly, this is how Avatar items should be brought about, as the Avatar Marketplace is such a bloody rip-off.
