Announced in this thread here on the Xbox Canadian General Forum: Toronto will be having a public launch party for Halo 3: ODST on Mon. Sep. 21st, 2009 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Players will be able to get their hands on the game early to experience, and train up, for the new Cooperative gameplay mode, Firefight.

I'm starting my Fall vacation that evening, so I just might go. Still not expecting to buy Halo 3: ODST at this point, however one piece of good news is that Curtis Creamer, producer on the project, mentions in this interview that the Campaign is actually the length of any other Halo Campaign. Provided that that's true and not an exaggeration, I'd happily admit to being wrong about Halo 3: ODST and consider a purchase.
