Originally reported over a month ago, Left 4 Dead will be receiving a new Campaign in DLC variety, entitled "Crash Course." The catch, however, is that the DLC will be free on the PC, but cost Xbox 360 gamers 560 Microsoft Points.
According to this article at TeamXbox, this is all Microsoft's doing, and Valve did indeed want to release the Campaign for free.
This isn't really surprising at all, as it's usually the publishers, or Microsoft themselves who're always trying to up the cost of DLC.
Very sad.
