BioShock (PlayStation 3) Development Team Introduction and First Screenshots

BioShock is one of the most critically acclaimed titles of 2007, so it's no surprise that it's being ported to an additional platform. In this particular instance, PlayStation 3 gamers will finally get to experience the genetically enhanced first person shooter, and like most ports, the development of the PlayStation 3 version of the game is being handled by a different studio than the original release.

Say hello to 2K Marin! Comprised of team members from other projects as well as from the original BioShock development team, 2K Marin is responsible for bringing BioShock to your PlayStation 3 this October (and they're also the team heading up BioShock 2), and you can meet them right here courtesy of the official PlayStation.Blog.

The blog post also contains the first online exclusive screenshots for the PlayStation 3 version of the game, and two additional screenshots can be viewed at IGN PS3 here.

Based on these four screenshots alone, I'm not seeing a huge difference between them and the Xbox 360 version of the game. I think the texture quality might be a bit higher, but I'm not certain. I am looking forward to the official announcement of what extra content or enhancements the PlayStation 3 port of BioShock will contain, however.
