Halo - Contact Harvest Cover

In their latest Weekly Update, Bungie chats a bit about E3, the Campaign, and also reveals the cover for the upcoming novel, Halo - Contact Harvest.

It will be interesting to read about how the war actually started. I hope they release it as a standard paperback first though.

Hello, My Xbox 360 froze today while playing DiRT, then when I reset it it gave me the 3 red lights, I tried everything on the help page,,, except calling support,

I sure am glad the warranty has been extended,, I will keep you posted,, or if you have any advice I will take it,

Thanks,

Gary,

Yup, you've got general hardware failure.

All you can do is contact Support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX. You're definitely under warranty, but unless your experience ends up being much better than mine, you can expect about 3 weeks with no Xbox 360.

Just make sure to keep following up with Support, and if they are not meeting their deadlines of sending you your return package, etc., contact the Better Business Bureau.

You'll probably get a 1 month free Membership of Xbox Live Gold, but if I remember right for someone reason you weren't able to set up a Gold account with your net connection.

But yeah, keep me posted!

Well, I made the call, and with very little fuss the lady set me up with the return box, I expect it in a few days, and I don't have to drop it off at the Purolator place, my wife tells me they will pick it up from her work, so thats ok I suppose, I inquired about the pro console and the chances of getting a refurbished Core,, and she said there was a chance I would get a Core,, oh well,

The hard drive is removed, and the CD bay is empty,

I called my provider and asked about the Xbox live,, apparently I have a "Dynamic IP" apparently it changes,, what I would have to do is get them to give me a "Static IP" but this is a extra ten dollars a month,,, I might do it for one month while I get the free trail,

or,, is it on a card with a code? I suppose I could just give it to a guy I work with,

anyways, I will keep you posted, and thanks again for your help, reading your account from the previous months when you had your issue gave me hope that this will be resolved in a somewhat positive manner.

Cool, let me know what happens with your console.

Also, just so you know, you do _not_ need a static IP to play over Xbox Live. I certainly don't have a static nor do most of my other friends.

You Xbox 360 will auto-detect your IP each time. I'd say give it a shot with the 1 month card you'll get.
