Space shuttle Discovery in orbit

Well, it appears us primates have once again successfully gotten ourselves off this rock we call home. Good for us primates. We're a smart bunch of monkeys!

Granted, those Crazy Ivans (i.e. the Russians) have continued lighting fireworks under people's arses in the hopes of having them slam into the International Space Station. "Boris, vhat should ve do about de missing vindshield on de launch capsule?" "Aagh, ve out of de tempered glass, just use de Saran Wrap! No vun know!" NASA, meanwhile, had taken a reprieve after the Columbia disaster two and a half years ago.

In all seriousness, however, it is good to see NASA at it again. We primates likely will eventually need to find a way off this rock (assuming we don't wipe ourselves out first), so any continued man spaceflights are good steps toward that end.
